Righteous Kill...

If the name didn't say it, the sound will. When Voice Of Germany participant Ashonté 'Dolo' Lee decided to change musical gears, he kicked it into seventh and floored it with one simple goal in mind: bring down the roof... every time.„If world peace was music, it'd sound like us,“ proclaims Dolo of enlisting the entire rhythm section of GRAND SLAM [one of the last remaining (successful) touring funk troupes] shortly after joining their roster. Lee left nothing to chance in the execution of his vision: a weapon of musical destruction dubbed Garage-soul-blues by Dolo himself. Exhausted with the idea of another Rap project and the monotonous gimmicks such would entail, the rapper/singer/songwriter/producer has taken refuge from the monotony in his soulful pipes. Embracing his Georgia roots and genre-bending taste for music, what could be left but to call on former competitors Naomi Feld and Mandy Wewerto back his power with grace and gospel.

Dolo has been a silent presence in the German scene. Attendee to an impressive list of prominent artists' career building projects (to include Clueso, Söhne Mannheims & some Brothers' Keepers members to name a few), his fulfillment musically has been found in behind-the-scenes support saving the spotlight for the stage alone. Being no stranger to the music industry’s ins and outs, Dolo has had his fill of life behind the curtain. He now wants his applause. And with his soul at the helm, Toby Mayerl (keys), Frank Holderied (drums), Michael "Dandy" Dandorfer (guitarist), Peter “Shark” Hajek (bass) (all well accomplished musicians on their own) and the ladies backing him, he is [or rather, they are] set to receive just that and then some. Right move. Right time. Right reason. Justifiably executed or as some say... Righteous Kill
